This was the first video (2017) I directed and edited for the course Contemporary Approaches to Media and Communication. During the process, I had to face many struggles including the weather, schedule of team members or actors, lack of equipment, etc. Thanks to this wonderful experience, my edit skill was significantly improved. Moreover, I have an opportunity to have a deeper understanding of the film making process.
In the course Modern Asia in 2017, I had a chance to create a video with the requirement: making a documentary video about a specific issue in Ho Chi Minh City. This short films record the daily life of uncle Tue Trung who sells second-hand books and opens for renting. From the interview with Mr. Tue Trung, we can understand the the issue of reading reduction among new generation and simultaneosuly welcome the new reading habit in the upcoming period.
